Full Build Crew/Takedown Crew

 

To guarantee your contract for the work detailed on the invoice:

  • A 20% Deposit will be charged (or full amount)* and must be paid within 48 hours of invoice to secure the full build crew.
  • Invoices must be paid in full atleast 2 weeks prior to the job date.
  • Invoices that are within 2 weeks to the job date must be paid within 48 hours and prior to the job date.
  • Invoices can be individual to each job or contain multiple jobs, this will be the clients preference.
  • Job details including No. of tipis/tents and any accessories must be correct.
  • Job date changes may not be possible if at short notice.
  • Cancellations made within 1 week of job date will not recieve a refund. (Travel fees refunded)
  • Cancellations made within 2 weeks of job date will recieve a 50% refund. (Travel fees refunded)
  • Cancellations made more than 2 weeks prior to job date will recieve a full refund.
  • Cancellations made by MJR due to unforseen circumstances will recieve a full refund although every effort will be made to avoid cancellations.

Other Terms & Conditions:

  • The cost for a build or takedown is a guide to the job size. ie: 3 Tipis only build may be priced at the 2* to 3 Tipi cost, 3 Tipi with excessive extras such as extensions, porches, doors, furniture, ect may be priced at 3* to 4 Tipi cost. 
  • Excessive travel and timescales may effect the build/takedown cost.
  • MJR will inspect the equipment used throughout the build and will inform the owner/hirer of any damage prior to use.
  • MJR will not be held reliable for any damage caused by environmental factors such as extreme winds, rain, storms, resulting damage from other surrounding structures or from any member of public. 
  • A risk assessment may be carried out to eliminate any factors likely to cause damage. This may mean postponing the build/takedown until conditions improve. 
  • MJR will make every effort to rearrange the build/takedown, although this may incur extra costs.
  • MJR will take responsibility for any damage caused solely by MJR and its team on the day of the build/takedown. Any damage will be fixed accordingly to the specific damage. Ie: repair a hole or replace certain items if cant be repaired.
  • Photos may be taken of any damage prior to use.
  • Client has full responsibility to ensure the site is safe from any potential hazards likely to cause damage or harm to equipment or persons.
  • MJR take no responsibility for any damage already present prior to the build.
  • MJR take no responsibility for any damaged, imperfections or malfunctioning equipment supplied new/old from the manufacturer.
  • Once the build/takedown has been signed for by the client, MJR will not be held reliable for any damage caused due to any alterations made by the client. Including ground anchors, strapping, hardware removed or parts of the structure removed.
  • MJR may offer to correct any alterations made by the client, this is with discretion of MJR and may incur a cost.

Single Crew

 

To Guarentee your single crew members:

  • A 20% Deposit will be charged (or full amount)* and must be paid within 48 hours of invoice to secure the job.
  • Invoices must be paid atleast 2 weeks prior to the job date.
  • Invoices for work within 2 weeks must be paid within 48 hours.
  • Invoices for work same/next day must be paid immediately.
  • Invoices can be individual to each job or contain multiple jobs, this will be the clients preference.
  • Job date changes may not be possible if at short notice and may not recieve a refund.
  • Cancellations made within 1 week of job date will not recieve a refund. (Travel fees refunded)
  • Cancellations made within 2 weeks of job date will recieve a 50% refund. (Travel fees refunded)
  • Cancellations made more than 2 weeks prior to job date will recieve a full refund.
  • Cancellations made by MJR due to unforseen circumstances will recieve a full refund although every effort will be made to avoid cancellations.
  • MJR/Crew leaders are not responsible for the condition of equipment (unless supplied by MJR), nor responsible for missing equipment from supplier or hirer. Crew leaders are not responsible for other staff/crew on site other than leading the crew relating to the build.
  • Crew members & Labourers are not responsible for any equipment used, any damage incured prior, during or after the build, nor responsible for any other crew/staff on site.
  • Crew Leaders have extensive experience leading and training other crew as well as knowledge of builds & takedowns on a variety of installations.
  • Crew members will have previous experience of Tipi/Stretch tent builds & takedowns and can perform all/most tasks relating to the build.
  • Labourers may not have appropriate experience to perfom some tasks without supervision/training. Most will have limited experience on builds & takedowns. Training is welcome from other crew/crew leaders but is at the discretion of the company.
  • Any Travel time over 2 hours may be chargable at the respective rate per hour. (Included in the minimum 10 hours). Please enquire.
  • Mileage fees apply.

 

Site Inspection & Maintenance

 

  • Pre Installation site inspection is to ensure the venue is suitable for the build.
  • Site inspection can also be booked for any advise or enquiries requiring a site visit. (IE: Test cleaning a canvas)
  • Weekly inspection payments must be paid in full for a minimum term of 4 weeks (4 Inspections within 4 weeks)
  • Weekly inspection discount is applied if paid in full for 1 year.
  • Monthly inspection payments must be paid in full for a minimum term of 4 months (4 Inspections within 4 months)
  • Monthly inspection discount is applied if paid in full for 1 year.
  • Quarterly inspection payments must be paid in full for a minimum term of 6 months (2 Inspections within 6 months)
  • Quarterly inspection discount applied if paid in full for 1 year.
  • Half yearly inspection payments must be paid in full for minimum term of 1 year (2 Inspections within 12 months)
  • Yearly inspection is charged at £140.
  • If other single inspections are required, they will be charged at £140 unless a weekly, monthly, quarterly or half yearly package is required.
  • Inspections will include general structure checks, tightening of straps, stake/anchor checks, internal/external light checks, flooring checks.
  • Other inspections specific to the build will be made as well as any concerns made by the client.
  • Inspections may include minor repairs.
  • Inspection Cleaning will remove as much as possible of any leaf build up on the roof and in any other areas of build up. The mud wall will be cleaned and cleared of any foliage to allow air circulation and help keep the area dry and reduce mould. (Cant guarantee any area will become fully dry and free from mould). Other specific areas may be cleaned to reduce the chance of staining to canvas.
  • Major repairs, replacement of equipment will be at cost plus labour and delivery of replacement item. (This will vary depending on the repair/equipment being replaced)
  • Card/contactless payments accepted with card/email receipt available. (replacement parts, small services only)
  • Delivery of Replacement item from manufacturer will start from £120.
  • A 20% Deposit will be charged (or full amount)* and must be paid within 48 hours of invoice to secure the job.
  • Invoices must be paid atleast 2 weeks prior to first inspection.
  • Invoices for work within 2 weeks must be paid within 48 hours of recieving the invoice.
  • Cancellations made may change the cost of previous/future inspections.
  • Inspection dates can be booked after each prior inspection or a set day can be booked in advance. MJR reserves the right to change the date of inspections (changed to another suitable date within the same week) unless a specific date has been arranged for certain reasons.
  • Cancellations made by MJR will be refunded fully at the set cost or rearranged for a suitable date. Every effort will be made to avoid cancellations.
  • Emergency Inspections will be charged at £140 plus mileage fees. (Further costs may incur depending on requirements)
  • Emergency Inspections must be paid immediately.
  • MJR cannot guarantee to be available for every emergency situation. Ie: Sudden storms causing damage to structures. Emergency call outs are subject to availability. It is important that the client understands procedures to ensure the structure is safe.
  • Client should have been briefed on safety procedures in case of emergency by the company who installed the structure. (If not MJR)
  • MJR will brief every client on safety procedures in an emergency. (Sudden storms, extreme weather ect.)
  • All inspections will be made by experienced MJR Crew leaders/members.
  • Mileage/Travel fees apply.

 

Equipment Maintenance & Cleaning

 

  • Onsite cleaning may be available but will depend on condition of canvas and loaction/access to canvas. Eqnuire for more details.
  • All cleaning is subject to availability due to space available as MJR will not store wet canvas until space is available. Early booking is advised to guarentee the service being available. Limited availability is between September - January.
  • Before any equipment is cleaned, a full inspection report will take place.
  • MJR will not be responsible for any damage to canvas', panels, or matting prior to cleaning.
  • MJR will not be held liable for any damage that has arisen after equipment has been returned and signed for, unless MJR are installing the equipment directly after cleaning.
  • Photos may be taken and reported to the owner before cleaning commences.
  • Damage may include but not limited too: Rips, holes, damaged stitching, missing or broken D rings/strings, Mold/Algae stains, Fading or discolouring.
  • Canvas will be hand washed using warm water and a soft brush. This will clean off surface dirt avoiding any damage to the material.
  • If mould cleaning has been arranged, MJR cannot guarantee all mould will be removed. This depends on how long the canvas has been exposed to the damp conditions and mould growth. Mould that is deep into the canvas may never be removed. 
  • Matting will be cleaned using a pressure washer covering every inch to avoid swirl type marks.
  • Some dirt may not come out of the matting if it has been allowed to sit for long periods of time. The dirt may fade but still be slightly visible.
  • Turn around time for cleaning can be around 1 day - 4 weeks depending on job requirements.
  • Dry only service will depend on space available. Mileage fees apply.
  • Canvas drying times may vary.
  • Matting will not be left to dry before returning (if done offsite). It is advised to keep clean matting in a rack off the ground and inside or undercover to allow them to dry. They will be returned rolled up.

  • Invoices for cleaning/drying must be paid at least 1 week prior to collection.
  • Invoices must be paid prior to job date and within 48 hours if the job is within 1 week.
  • Cancellations made within 1 week of job date/collection will receive a 50% refund. (Travel fees refunded)
  • Cancellations made more than 1 week of job date/collection will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made by MJR will be refunded fully, although every effort will be made to avoid cancellations.
  • Mileage/Travel fees apply.

 

PAT Testing

 

  • Items to be tested must be readily available on the date booked for testing.
  • Minimum charge is £50 plus mileage/travel fees.
  • Items are inspected & tested only (no repairs).
  • A 20% Deposit will be charged (or full amount)* and must be paid within 48 hours of invoice to secure the job.
  • Invoice must be paid atleast 1 week prior to the job date.
  • Invoice must be made prior to job date and within 48 hours if job is within 1 week.
  • Cancellations made within 1 week of job date will recieve a 50% refund. (Travel fees refunded)
  • Cancellations made by MJR will be refunded fully, although every effort will be made to avoid cancellations.
  • Additional items may be tested on the day and invoice must be paid immediately for the extra items.

 

*The Client has the choice to be invoiced the full amount or a 20% deposit upon confirmation of job. (within 48 hours of invoice)
